New #1 single, from your roommate.

So why can't I resolve to my domain name anywhere other then home, while I can always get to your site? Because you broke something.

Oh Billy....what would the literary scholars of two centuries ago think of the ebonics you certainly use on a daily basis? Would they perhaps be irratated that things are "stupid-hard"? Would the dissimilarities in the way you write "f"s and "s"s be cause for anger? The english language is a funny thing, dear.

those are very cute observations lindsay. but let us take them a step further. should we speak our version of dilapidated english? or should we even speak english at all? we could go back to before proto-english was forced on the celts. i think i'd like to learn how to speak and write in welsh and irish. but maybe those languages have become bastardized as time has marched along. maybe i should try to learn how to speak and write in brythonic and goidelic. ah crap, those both came from proto-celtic. there we go, i will learn common celtic. now i need to find a time machine that will take me back to 800 b.c. does anyone have one of those in their back pocket?

... in other words, i think that it is alright to think that someone is stupid because they have issues with speaking the current language correctly. not understanding which verbs/adverbs to use in which situation. having problems with the order of words in a sentence. generally not understanding (or respecting) proper grammar.

you are right about the fact that billy does not use tho billy has the ability to use his creativity to remake the language in his own image, he does it in a way that does not make him sound like he doesn't know how to use it. let me illustrate this. it is like a master pianist that reads the sheet music while he plays but sometimes switches the notes around to make it sound more interesting versus a four year old banging on the keys. this is the difference.
