Yes, it's true. I bought a house. I've really gone and sold out this time. White male landowner. I can even retroactively vote in the election of 1844. 54-40-or-Fight!
Immediate next steps are to get it cleaned and sprayed for bugs. I hate bugs so very much. Steps in a similar timeframe are to purchase such needless little conveniences as a fridge, and a washer and dryer. Also installing them. Luckily, new super-roommate Chris Brodt is up to the task, as I manage things, beer in hand.
Matt Steenson came for a visit, just before the Man did extend his tour. It's really upsetting that he got here 50% of the way through his time in the hot hot desert, and left 40% of the way through.
Modest Mouse's new album is pretty good. It'll take some getting used to, much like the last album, but I'm pretty sure it'll sit in my CD player for a while. Favorite track so far is #4, Florida. It's not the single (oddly enough).
Home buying is an adventure. Look forward to a few more-frequent updates with pictures and commentary and such.
Even as I left Florida

Congrats on your new home!
also, DOUG, was up to the task as well yesterday as WE (you and me, NOT cbrodt) moved your new dryer to your house. casey was there too... but all she did was tell me to put my seatbelt on (damn car sensors can't tell the difference between sacks'o potato and people). on a further note, i would seriously think of renting one of those u-haul f150s for a week, if it weren't going to be expensive.
put a hold on the computer thing. finances are not completely square as of yet, and i am unsure as to whether or not i need a truck or a computer (i probably need a truck).
it was hard to see matt go. hopefully his trip was delayed in a luscious green area for a time long enough to get drunk.
back to the grind

Billy, your house is awesome.

OMG I'm graduating in 10 days. I'm scared, Billy.
i am back in the market for a new compy. 2k is the budget, and i want something comparable to a mid/high range alienware :)
i ask much, but i know that you can give me results

gotta respect anybody that would give that much money to something so valuable, without wanting credit for it. that is a rarity these days.
what happened to conoco? it seems that every conoco station has turned into a circle k. if conoco has sold out to circle k, then that does not bode well for our state's economy. we would actually be fucking screwed. i guess now is the time to invest in natural gas and windfarms.
its been a month. where is my update?
here, i'll do it for you...
new things in my life:
1) new house that my father disapproves of less than most things in my life.
2) quitting hertz gives me joy (joy joy joy down in my heart).
3) new job with the post office that will allow me to go to an oriole game from time to time.
important thoughts:
1) moving by yourself is can become an inconvenience to your friends, but if you time it right, it can be a bargaining chip.
2) soundwave has been removed from the cast of transformers but ravage is still in... the only way they can make up for this atrocity is to kill off hot rod and give bumblebee a massive upgrade (oh wait, they did).
3) we need to invest in a bee-bee gun and rubber bullets so that cbrodt doesn't kill himself while he goes hunting for wabbits.

(political updated goes here)

"and i'm so happy
i'm very happy...
i've got the love of yeshua in my heart."
how close was i?
Re: Circle K/Conoco
It was not actually Conoco that sold out, it was Star Fuel. Star Fuel had a lot of Conoco stations that got changed over. It's all the same gas, but now the convenience store part is different.
i was wondering why no one else was worrying about conoco's epidemic of the dreaded circle k disease. i guess it's not malignant. when i first noticed it, i figured that within a week we'd have locusts coming out of the gas pumps. thankfully yhwh has decided to stay his judgment for the time being.
If you have not posted within 72 hours, I will shoot a communist.

you have been home with internet access for two days. all you have to do is highlight my post on 05/25/07, ctrl+c, open whatever billy's blog post updater thingy you use, ctrl+v, make some minor changes, make the magic happen that gets that on the internet, then beat off to gunther videos.
the final step is optional, but it comes with good recommendations. i don't understand how gunther = homo eroticism. he has a mullet and only women in his videos, but he's still the most homosexually charged thing i've ever seen.
