Black Friday

Not so good a day. As recent reports have indicated, about 200 people are "no longer with the Hertz Corporation." Luckily for me at least, the sword of Damocles missed my neck. It didn't miss those of my friends, though. In all, about 100 of the 200 layoffs happened in the IT department. Hopefully that's the end of it, at least until the outsourcing happens...

Otherwise, I'm in Dallas for the UTD debate tournament, but only as a judge. Judge and "hospitality verification specialist." Just don't put me in any early-morning rounds, though that's generally a bad idea anyway.

Oh, and my credit is terrible. More on that later.

Don't worry Billy, if you get laid off, I can set you up with a job in my, er, company. The United States Army- home of the phrase "We're always hiring".

But best to keep working at Hertz, trust me =p. Enjoy your tournament, and remember: Tabula Rosa is bullshit. Just vote for the kids that run Marxism. Every time. They're the cool ones.

1. i'm sick. really sick. so sick that i can't be more jubilant about the other announcement...












2. zomg i got into vg beta zomg!

i know it's a little late to get into beta (its supposed to launch at the end of the month), but anyone who would tell me that is the same kind of person that is happy about 'THEIR' win over us. (i really wish that i could do that magic thingy where you hover your mouse over the word and it says more things like i hate boisie state or something...) the only bad thing about getting into beta is that i'm on disc 3 of ffix and i'm starting to really like it. i'm sure that if i start a character (or 3) in vg, then i won't play it for a LONG time.

3. i have to work today. all day. and tomorrow too. i'm really kinda too sick to work, but we have a project that turns into a cd (construction document) on monday. that means it HAS to be printed, sealed, signed, and dated sometime sunday evening.

other than 2 innitial problems i have with vg (hella hella laggy and i couldn't pick all the names i wanted), i am very very excited to give it a go.

i have a feeling that it will stay buggy till i get the launch (or else my computer is a gigantic piece of crap and won't be able to run it :( )
