Hope cometh in the morning, Bartlet tells us
While tornados can be pretty upsetting and can certainly wreak their own forms of havoc, I'm sitll pretty sympathetic to an entire major city that has found itself in a great deal of trouble. I'm falling victim, too, to combinations of "monkeysphere" phenomenon and the general inability to compare massive concepts, that are making me want to avoid any comparisons to tsunamis and the like. Luckily, they found Fats.
Considering all the hoopla over the agency coordination and Homeland Security awareness all justified under a "responses to disasters" claim after September 11th, the general confusion and seemingly poor execution in New Orleans shows that we are still really behind when it comes to getting necessary things accomplished. Where did all those resources go?
Either way, it's times like these that make me concerned for how effectively people can break out of the training that having the best television makes you the best person. The Revolution seems our way permanently out of having to worry about differing social stigmas on re-appropriating food and water, if only it would work.
The media only rarely seems to help.
