A jocund rebeck
A piquant little surprise this morning, as I found that my teeth, while measurably smaller, don't hurt so much as I had feared.
While walking through the parking lot of the dentist's office yesterday, noticeably poorer and still numb in the left half of my head, I looked down at the prescription that I was written and the only real word I could devise out of the dentist's handwriting was the word Tylenol. I figured that if the numbness wore off at an inopportune time, I should probably have whatever maximum strength stuff the sketchy people at McNeill PPC saw fit to sell me, so I went ahead and had it filled. After wandering around Walgreen's for about 15 minutes, the lady at the pharmacy counter calls me up, charges me the $1.50 or so (thank goodness for prescription drug coverage) and asks me if I have any questions. I tell her no, it's Tylenol, right? She gives me a somewhat quizzical glance, then says "Yeah, Tylenol with codeine." I had apparently been prescribed #4, the most potent form of this little combo. I ambled out of the store still a little in shock at getting such a needlessly strong set of pills and went home. Much as I do most Tuesdays, I fell asleep rather quickly on the couch and napped for a couple of hours. When I got up, the numbness had worn off, and I hurt, but not so badly that I couldn't distract myself with a bit of evening TV. After a few hours of the dull throbbing, I had some pasta and cereal, then went to bed.
That's right, no pills. This is how we roll.
Denise and Lori have moved their stuff into their apartment as of yesterday, so I'll probably be in Norman tonight, showing off my temporary crowns.
Excellent. I shall put on my ham pants.

Yeah, so about those pills....
What are you planning to do with them?
I mean, just curious, you know. man.
