Contrary to the opinion of the incredibly small minority, no one likes the dentist. I'm now looking at 6 teeth that need work done, and am scrounging up the courage and the capital to make that happen before debate season starts. Thankfully, my insurance has kicked in, so the cleaning and inspection was free, and the really nasty stuff is less than half price. The even better part is that I can steer clear of the root canal. Small miracles.


I haven't been able to find much info on William A. Clark Jr., Oklahoma dentist extraordinare, so let me take this opportunity to say that while my dealings with him have been brief, he's been a pretty good guy, and seems to have been practicing dentistry for quite a while. My opinion might change once he starts drilling on me, but for now I'm pretty pleased.


Denise/Nathan's birthday party was a good ole' time. I've missed Denise pow'rful bad, and I can't seem to find time that both Nathan and I are free for a ball game, so it was a boon to my spirit to see them both. This also marked the last time I'll be seeing Seamus for a while, sadly. He's off to bigger and better universities, though. Good for him.


If only I too could be an abominable ho man.
