Let's all be disappointed in what Earnest Istook has to say about Sesame Street and its obvious, overwhelmingly positive impact on society, partially subsidized by taxes. Luckily, that didn't keep Grover down. Really though, in a world where capital has the worst forms of entertainment being the most prolific, it's hard to imagine that anyone would think that the Muppets are not worth supporting. Even now I find happiness and comfort in the smiling face of an old friend who just wants love, and who makes kids feel better about themselves and their ability to learn about and operate within the world.



Some spam just suggested that I not "waste the summer in pants." I'm giggling at the notion that time I spend in pants is automatically wasted time.

This weekend was not in fact wasted time. Patrick's birthday party was quite entertaining, and CBrodt and I outlasted all the sucka's. Many drunken phone calls were made, and many hot girls were made to feel just a little embarrassed. After waking up bleary-eyed the next mor^H^H^Hafternoon, I went and watched the pride parade. A gay old time was had by all. <rimshot>

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
