Competitive hillrolling should be a sport...somehow...
Yesterday was a good day. Started out with me fixing Denise's parents' computer, simple XP install and spamware removal. Strangely enough, I couldn't sell them on the notion that they should switch to Linux, though it is obviously the better choice, especially today. Went to work and pretended to be industrious. It's really shocking how little compulsion you have to be productive when you know that in a week it's not going to matter anyway. Went to go and tutor Emilili in her math stuff she's doing by correspondence, and took a quick nap on her couch. Found out that Ronald and Courtney were playing the Mitch Park game, so Emily was kind enough to drop me off. Mitch Park was a blast. It seems like rolling down hills is more fun as an adult, probably because I don't remember getting quite as dizzy as a kid. Mike convinced me that I needed to do speed drills just like he does. The only requirement for having a good night was met, since no-one is supposed to be in the park after sundown. Patrick came to pick me up, and we hung out at Denny's for another while. Super-waitress Becca, as it turns out, has a small world connection to Denise. Apparently she debated, and taught Denise back at PCN. Becca just keeps getting hotter every time I see her, and it's incredibly fun to tell her. We invited her to a sleepover after she got off of work at 6am, but she ditched us, no phone call, no nothing. Met a nice girl named Leslie who seems to have a small crush on, of all people, Gene Chase. Apparently sweater-vests just do it for her. Also baldness and the bitterness that can only come from being a middle-aged political science major working with high school kids. Patrick, Brodt, and I have made it our personal mission to make sure that the two of them spend at least one date together. Leslie and I talked about her religious beliefs and her take on some of the biblical questions I've been mulling for some time. She drove Patrick and me back to his apartment, to futilly await Becca's call. The night ended with the sun shining over an old episode of the West Wing.
I'm very excited about seeing Fahrenheit 9-11 tonight, though I don't know if there will be a chance for me to do so. I should check and see what Becca is doing tonight.
This Sunday is the OKC Pride Parade. I trust that everyone will be there. Besides, it's not until next Tuesday that perma-star Vanilla Ice will be gracing the Dallas stage.
No double class inverse could make lying worth dying.
