Oh Bother....
Just got off the phone with Rosie, apparently she didn't remember or didn't believe the timetable when I told her that divorce proceedings would occur right after filing taxes. Apparently Pam has told her that she feels uncomfortable with the idea of introducing Rosie to family members as long as she is still married. Personally I'd be pretty sketched out about introducing her at all, worried about questions of "how did you two meet" and "how long have you lived in Oklahoma" that would invite the same kinds of truths to be know. That, though was not disturbing in itself. The thing that has me on the verge of tears today, and really looking forward to pretending to kill civilians in GTA3 when I get home, is that Bryan seems to have taken the stance that Rosie's marriage "bothers" him, because he doesn't want to feel like he is "sharing" her. This to me smacks of degenerate hypocracy. This little "bothersome" issue certainly didn't stop him from destroying the marriage, nor did he seem compelled to prevent me from having to feel the pain of "sharing" the womun I took vows to. Now, though, that divorce had better hurry up so that his life can get just as hunky-dory as he wants it. Child. They deserve one another.
Goals for tonight: attend the psalm liturgy at 7:30, and then party 'til dawn. Scott just bought a season of Chappelle's Show, and I think it's going to be broken in tonight.
Deal with it. Rock and Roll.
