Tulsa night life: filth, gin, a slut
I love palindromes.
Even more than palindromes, though, I love debate. I've judged two tournaments in the last couple of weeks for the high schoolers, and every time, I get to thinking that I want to get back into it more and more. The people alone are reason enough to spend time with drama-heavy high schoolers, even if some people don't seem to seek you out to chat with you. (Just kidding, Jennie). The activity is so entertaining that I actually ended up cutting the Dillon book about security and whatnot. It was disturbingly good, even if I didn't understand as much of the Heideggerian philosophy as I would like. It is still empowering, though, to think that not only does my delving into international philosophy have an impact on my interpersonal relationships, but that I can and should deal within an ethic of love in both. Good stuff.
North Tulsa as a town is pretty icky. I drove around in a big 4 mile circle, and found not a single Taco Bell, though I did find not less than 6 auto salvage yards, 2 Arby's, 2 Church's Chicken, and even a place that proudly advertised that it would give me an (illegal) tattoo. Oh, well, no cheeseritos for me. Cheeseritos are so good, but sadly I've found only a handful of people who like them at all, much less consider them the manna from heaven I know them to be. I actually met one of them this week, over at Patrick and Sandra's apartment, a young womun named Courtney who is intrigued by Communism and is really cute. Her current relationship status is a bit weird, but I suppose that the "non-commital nothing" is more entertaining for her and Ronald than the "bitter divorcing" has been for me.
I still maintain that the Taco Bell at 2nd and Santa Fe in Edmond is the best there is. Everyone there still remembers how to make a cheeserito, and I've never had an order messed up or take too long. To this day, I won't go another Taco Bell in Edmond.
"Reviled did I live," said I, "as evil I did deliver."

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about in reference to 'Cheesaritos'. They actually were on the Taco Bell menu at one time, and of course, as you know, you can still get them anywhere. :)
